Late November saw the opening of the first dedicated lounge at London Heathrow Airport for our print service customer Qantas.
The brand new lounge in LHR T3 can accommodate over 230 passengers and is a superb addition to a terminal which already hosts premium class facilities for Emirates, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines and British Airways customers – all of them offering newspapers and magazines provided by DMD.
Qantas spent the past year building the Heathrow lounge as part of a multi-million dollar investment for customers on its existing London services, as well as for their landmark 787 Dreamliner Perth-London route that commences March 2018.
“The Kangaroo Route is at the heart of Qantas’ identity and London is one of our most important destinations,” says Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce. “We are reshaping what customers come to expect from international travel with direct flights between Australia and London. It’s a long flight, so we’re taking a holistic approach to passenger wellbeing on and off the aircraft, and the new Heathrow lounge is an important part of that.”
